It's finally June and in 12 days time we'll go on our holiday!! It took a long time, but it's now moving closer. I'm really exited, as you can imagine probably.
Before the operation I was afraid I wouldn't be fit enough, but now, a small week later, I think I will be alright. If I'll stay calm and easy that is...
Yesterday I overdid my housekeeping chores I guess and I became unwell. I got to bed around half past 7 and slept all through the night and woke up this morning at half past 8!! Shouldn't do that again, because now I have more pain again too. It was a bit too much and a bit too soon I guess.
|Calgary - Rocky Mountains|
Our journey will start in Canada this time! Glacier N.P. has been on my to-see-list for a while now, so we're going to drive there from Calgary. It was my plan to drive the Route 89, from Calgary to Phoenix, but stupid enough I didn't think about the fact that you can't drive a rental from Canada all through the US and leave it there. Normally I'm very carefull in figuring things out beforehand, but for what kind of reason I only found this out when I wanted to book a rental car. Now we'll go from Calgary to Glacier Park and back again. Than we will take a flight to Denver and drive from there to Yellowstone Park and drive the Route 89 from there on. Not very logical, but the best solution I could think of.
|Petriglives in Arches Nat.Park|
Our fourth trip through the US of A will be one of outstanding beauty of nature. Glacier Park, Yellowstone Park, Arches and Canyonlands, the Northrim of the Grand Canyon and the gorgeous caves of Antelope Canyon, Horseshoe Bend and Lake Powell near Page and as a cherry on top of all this goodness we have my beloved Sedona, where we'll be for four days and will experience the 4th of July.
That last week is on familiar grounds, to recover from all that beauty of nature before that. We had that feeling before; being overwhelmed and just plain tired from all that beauty and just not able to take in any more. Sedona and after that 2 days of Phoenix is the relaxation we will need.
