High tea in Deventer

Errug lekker!!!
Today my mother, younger sister and me where taken out by my older sister to have a high tea in Deventer at the "Tea Rose". Well, it was more of a 'sweet tea', with all kinds of sweet goodies and all a personal chosen tea to go with it. It was to yummy!!!
Mom, Everdiena (younger sis), Francis (older sis)
Mom pouring tea.  (and see that old sewingmachine?!)
Four different kinds of tea, beautiful colours too!
Allemaal leuke antiek winkeltjes, kunst ateliertjes, grappige hebbe-dingetjes-winkeltjes.
After all these goodies we made a strole around the "Bergkwartier", one of the prettiest old parts of the city and the Netherlands. Houses from before the 1700 and all held or restored in a good way. All kinds of little antique shops, small art studios and lovely "wanna-have-shops".

It was a very nice afternoon and we should do this more often. A day of vacation it seemed. And that only 15 minutes from home!!!

  1. What a wonderful looking day. And the sweets look delicious! Glad you enjoyed it. I love walking around the older, but well maintained parts of towns. Lane

  2. Looks like you had a lovely day and that "high tea" looks sensational! It is so nice to spend moments like that with mum's, sister's or daughters!

  3. 15 minutes from home? Oh, this sounds like the beginning of a new monthly (at least) tradition! (Can you tell I'm just a bit jealous that your mom and sisters live so close to you?)

  4. What a lovely time you had with your mom and sisters! I noticed the sewing machine instantly :) in the pic! That is a charming little town. I would go there all the time!
